The Lady Elfwine Starlight is another of the three beautiful and extraordinary female nobles
of Damkina, all unmarried and all the last of their house. At 46 she is the eldest of the
three but retains her youthful good looks as her family is extraordinarily long-lived often
exceeding twice a normal human lifespan. A great traveller in her youth she returned home
to inherit the Starlight estates when she heard that her parents had been killed in a boating
accident on the Vast Lake.
Her parents had been firm supporters of the god
Allworthy so the Temple was somewhat disturbed to find
that on her return she worshipped the goddess
Brigit. Not only that having become wealthy on her travels she
approached the Overlord with a view to building
a temple to Brigit in Damkina. To pacify the Temple of Allworthy the Overlord suggested
that such a temple was more suited to a rural setting. Lady Starlight was not happy with
the Overlord's ruling but nevertheless set out for
Quinden where the temple was built and where she herself has lived
ever since.
Baron Drampinhill, the local lord of Quinden,
was less than happy to have acquired such a powerful neighbour (Lady Starlight is a talented
enchantress) and there have been tensions between the two to this day. Although her retinue
is far smaller than that of the Baron it contains her former travelling companions who are
skilled with weapon and magic and more than a match for any of the Baron's men.
