Pel is one of the Seven Dominions of Miredor and came into being at the Sundering of that land in -736 as a homeland for the Pel clans. Although it is the largest of the Seven Dominions consisting of most of eastern Miredor to the south of Yellow Mountains, those lands are drier and less fertile than the lands to the north and much of southern Pel is sparsely inhabited. In fact the bulk of the Pel population is concentrated in the Usira valley where the seasonal flooding and the irrigation techniques of the Pel have created a landscape where sufficent food crops may be grown to feed the burgeoning populations of Arpel and Trenth. The Lord of Pel is Arthrazoc. |
