Damkina is the centre of worship for the God
Glor'Diadel, a little known god associated with
Athena. The Temple itself is incredibly old and may be
the oldest building in the city, one of the few examples of the architecture of the ancient
Empire of Kelnore still standing in
the Wilderlands. The temple has a long and valiant history of fighting the forces of evil
in the north and has always trained paladins for this task.
The current high priest is Clanraer 'Clearsight' the Old who is supported by two assistant
priests. The temple also supports a permanent force of ten paladins/warrior clerics and has
a further force of ten part-time paladins/warrior clerics in reserve. The most notable
of these are
Lord Bluearrow and Justina, head of
Lady Moonmist's household.
Unlike the City Guard the paladins are deployed in the lands around the Vast Lake
(generally in patrols of six) although
tensions with
Baron Drampinhill mean they are unwelcome in
Quinden.
