The Lady Altariel Moonmist is one of the three beautiful and extraordinary female nobles
of Damkina, all unmarried and all the last of their house. She is half-elven, raven haired
and as tall as most men. According to the
Sorceror's Guild she is the most powerful
magic user in the City and although she is not a member of the Guild they consider her their
unofficial patron and in many ways their leader. She was the youngest of three siblings
but her two older brothers both died while travelling in the Wilderlands leaving her as
the sole heir to the Moonmist estates. As she is strong-willed and ferociously intelligent
not many men have summoned up the courage to court her although apparently
Lord Sorrowspear made an attempt several years
ago (which clearly did not go well as she has little time for him now).
After what befell the Megalon family Lady Altariel is reluctant to commit her forces
much beyond the Vast Lake area but within the City and its immediate surrounds she is
quick to react to the presence of evil and will seek the aid of the Sorcerors' Guild
in such circumstances. The other nobles regard her as slightly paranoid as she fears that
a powerful Dark Wizard lurks within the city although she has no proof. She is also concerned
that the cult of Arthranax is able to remain so well hidden.
Lady Moonmist is a follower of Glor'Diadel and her household is led by the experienced
female human paladin of Glor'Diadel, Justina. She also has twenty elven bowmen in her retinue.
Her palace
which is situated at the end of Judgement Street is beautifully decorated in elven style.
