Renth is an elven village famous for its ship building industry. The elves are from
a southern tribe and have darker skins than usually seen amongst elvenkind. Although not
related to the elves of
Anatal and
Onhir as fellow worshippers of
Cilborith they have cordial relations with those communities.
Their rites and festivals do, however, stem from a different tradition.
The area is exceptionally good for growing hemp and flax and although Renth does build
ships using wood from the abundant local forests, its fame is really based on fitting
out ships with sails and rigging. Many ships built as far away as
Serpeant Little sail to Renth on temporary rigging to
be fitted out by Renth's high quality workmanship.
The area is not without its dangers as Plains Demons (jackalweres) and orc raiders have
been known to attack workers in the hemp fields.
