The Masters of the Golden Eye are a group of mainly Kirani merchants who desire to dominate both overland and sea-going trade into Miredor from the South by making sure markets are fixed in their favour. As such they frequently try to manipulate currency exchange rates often with technically illegal operations. Their activities do not find favour either with the Divine Speakers or the Lords of the Realm. Their actions are, however, subtle and the authorities are frequently left several steps behind them with little chance of proving a crime has taken place. The symbol of the Masters is a half-closed golden eye. |
