Liang's House (128)

Liang Chen is a poet who likes to write poem's about the sea. Although poetry is his deep love he earns his living by fishing in Dahute Bay. He is not a bad fisherman but since he spends much of the time in his boat composing his poems his catches are frequently small. He has, however, been befriended by the merfolk of the bay who love his poetry and occasionally bring him a pearl from the deeps which keeps him from poverty.

A Paldorian by birth he left the religion of Adorak Tau which he found harsh and uninspiring and spent much time looking for a new god to worship. In the end the priestess of Athena in Tarantis introduced him to the worship of Apollo, Athena's brother, who is god of music, poetry, peace and healing. Liang is now very happy as he feels he shares the values of the god and in turn the god inspires his poetry. He has used some of is meager earnings to create a small shrine to Apollo in Athena's temple. As far as he knows he is the god's only worshipper in Tarantis. Unlike many of the inhabitants of Tarantis he is interested in the ancient Empire of Kelnore where he understands Apollo was more widely worshipped.
