Ocean Breeze

The Ocean Breeze plies the trade routes along the west coast of Sudland. Its normal run takes it from as far south as Azir to the northern port of Alsarias. As such it is one of a limited number of vessels who trade north of Tanturak owing to the natural hazards of the journey and the fear of piracy.

Captain Ibu is a Kirani but for convenience he flies the flag of the Tanturak merchant fleet. He is known as a fair captain and he regular takes on 'first time' crew to give them a harsh but fair training in life at sea. There is, however, a fair turnover amongst his crew due to the punishing schedules he keeps. Ibu seems to much prefer life on his ship to life on land and does not seem to understand the needs of those who would like to spend time ashore.

The current crew are:

• Mr Pugg: First Mate and acting captain. Ruthless disciplinarian.
• Master Scrow: Second Mate and hands on punisher of idlers.
• Cut-throat Grok: Quartermaster. Female half-orc with huge scar on neck. Wields battle-axe. Is not intimidated by Pugg and Scrow who treat her respectfully. Competent although she sometimes leaves the store unlocked (see Aya for details).
• Sandara Quinn: Ships Surgeon and Healer. Only Officer who shows any humanity to the crew. Friendly to new crew members.
• Rosie Cusswell: Foul-mouthed halfling from Cambria. Only talkative member of the crew.
• Ambrose Kroop: Ship's Cook and drunkard. Reetlander born in Ulbar. Regrets not being on the Black Dog. Thinks he is losing the support of the captain.
• Crimson Coggish: Rigger from Azir. Short-tempered and violent.
• Conchobar Shortstone: New Crew. Rigger. Gnome bard from Korlan. Vain. Looks after himself.
• Satu: New crew. Kirani. Swabber. Fearful.
• Shivikah: Tall Female Mwangi. Rigger. Competent sailor who is disdainful of new crew.
• Maheem: Big Rahadoumi. Rigger. Surly. No time for new crew who he regards as idiots.
• Jaundiced Jappe: Mute Half-orc. Swabber. Unfriendly.
• Aretha Branson: Disdainful female human. Swabber. Foul-mouthed and no principles.
• Slippery Syl: Female from Tanturak. Rigger. Untrustworthy.
• Barefoot Samms Toppin: Female from the Sodden Lands. Rigger. No shoes by choice.
• Owlbear Hartson: Large simple-minded male human. Mr Pugg's 'pet' generally chained in the bilges. Friendly to party after kindnesses shown.
