Lhosi is a god of panthers and leopards but unlike
Ingwe he is not loyal to
M'pimpi. Lhosi is not as strong or wise as Ingwe so he needs allies
in order to implement his schemes. To attract the attention of other powerful gods like
Khoisa or
Zananku Lhosi needed to be able to offer them something and he decided
he would offer his followers as pawns to be used in the evil schemes of others.
In order to attract followers Lhosi first offers 'virility' which may or may not be forthcoming (but which many
may be reluctant to reveal they have not received). Then
for every sub-chieftain who can command six followers he offers a ritual which will give them claws.
For every chieftain who can command six sub-chieftains he offers fangs. The immense power offered
in levels five to ten of this chain is really quite enticing but rarely if ever claimed. As a result
of Lhosi's enterprise 'leopard cultists' are the most likely cultists to be met in the jungle.
