Rallu is sited on the coast of the south-eastern corner of the
Isle of the Blest.
It is cut off from the rest of the island by thick jungle which makes
overland travel next to impossible. Strategically, however, it was set in an ideal location
to become the leading seafaring and trading power in the southern ocean.
Thellagon the Mariner who founded the city
obviously chose the site with care and the harbour is said to be built on the foundations
of some ancient
Kelnorean ruins.
Apart from its positioning, however, Rallu has little in the way of natural resources. It has
set up a mining
settlement at
Cordoom on the southern coast which although 'commercial' is in fact
a major contributor to the Rallu Treasury by way of taxes. Its only other export of note
are the herbs and spices which the
Mycretians of the city harvest from the jungle.
