Deepvale Fort is an ancient fort now used by the City State of
Quitak as a border post. It may have originally been built
by one of the legendary empires of the past. The City State has put very little effort
into repairing it partly because in no longer guards a site of strategic importance, the
ancient copper mine in Deepvale having been long ago worked out.
It may have originally been used as a cavalry post as there is a large stables which is
no longer usable. The Fort has a well and a nearby source of provisions in
Deepvale Village.
The troops from the Fort were recalled when the Old South Road became dangerous because
Atwain fell to a red dragon. It is currently occupied
(and being repaired) by
Penva and his companions.
