Zothay

The following points of interest have been gleaned from the records of the Bards of Maven Ford:

1. Zothay has suffered from periodic eruptions of undead from beneath the city. Although these do not occur very often (about once every 50 years) they have left enough of a scar for various precaution to be taken
2. All temples and most public buildings (and wealthy residences) are warded against the undead
3. Entrances/exits to the sewers are warded against the undead
4. There is no mention of the city gates being warded against the undead
5. Harbouring or consorting with undead, demons or other unnatural beings is punishable by death
6. The Temple of Athena has the duty to protect the city against undead. One of its senior paladins has the official title of Undead Hunter and is expected to direct his knowledge and skills accordingly
