The Town of the Elect is the eastern and more prosperous half of Zothay. Streets are
straight, houses are relatively new and in good condition and the area is safe and well
patrolled. It is inhabited by craftsmen, merchants and the wealthy, often with their own
guards and slaves. Most of the elves and half-elves also dwell in this area. This section was
rebuilt by Themeles the Bull-slayer, a previous Tyrant of the city. During the
reconstruction, he also unearthed artifacts from the ancient city beneath Zothay – and it is
said
that there are still a few sealed entrances in the area which lead to the Underworld.
The Palace of the Tyrant is in this district, as is the residence of the Governor and the
Temple of
Nephtlys.
