Shodan is the market village for a farming community by the River Llobregather. It claims
to be very ancient and was allegedly named after one of the Elder Gods. An inscription
over an ancient well is said to be proof of this although none now can read the language.
The village was devastated by the Redrock Orcs in the war that saw the fall of
Zothay a hundred years ago. Although the village regained its
independence as part of the treaty negotiations the orcs were slow to withdraw and there is
still a sizeable half-orc underclass in the village.
The village now has a pact with
Sykmet for mutual defence and they have a joint ranger service.
