The River of Swords is a fast-flowing river in Oricha which runs down from the
Dragon-lord Hills to the Blue Scale Inlet. It has
a reputation of being extremely difficult to navigate due to its many rapids.
The river is named because although fast and deep it sometimes changes course leaving
remnants of an extensive ancient battle on its dried-up bed. These include ancient armour,
weapons and humanoid bones as well as occasional remains of larger monstrous war-mounts.
Sages believe that the volumes of such finds indicate they must come from the time of the
Orichalian Empire.
