The Temple of the Sea God

The Temple of the Sea God, Mannanan, is held by many to be the most beautiful in Quitak. It also has the second largest good-aligned congregation in the city. This consists mainly of sea-faring folk and merchants whose livelihood depends on the successful voyages of their ships. The Temple itself is decorated with shell-motifs and its wall have a shimmering sheen like the scales of a wondrous fish. Clergy of this ornately decorated temple wear scale armor made from sea shells and carry tridents as they minister to the faithful. These worshippers of Manannan have created a massive idol to their god that stands behind the small coral altar.

Negardis the Upright, the High Priest, is said to be able to call for Manannan himself by sacrificing a cloak of the manta ray before the altar but he will only do this if the City State is assaulted from the Estuary. The Warlord is keen to keep on the right side of Negardis as he appreciates that the Sea God helps to safeguard the trading fleet of the city as well as contributing to the defence of the city.
