Manannan is the neutral good God of the Sea. Although originally a
Tharbrian god his largest temple
and his most important centre of worship is actually in
Quitak. In that city he is worshipped
by sailors, seafarers, and merchants dependent on overseas trade. In the Tharbrian
tribes, however, he is worshipped by fishermen and other members of coastal
communities and his priests tend to be druids.
His domains are Animals, Good, Protection, and Water and his symbol is a Manta Ray.
His followers hold such animals sacred.
His church
operates many shrines scattered throughout the coasts of
the Wilderlands and will come to the aid of shipwrecked sailors. His church is
also often asked to inspect ships and give the vessel their
blessing and in the Quitak the fees from this activity have made the church wealthy.
Merchants know that a ship carrying the blessing
of Manannan is a safe ship to travel with.
