The vast Temple of
Odin is one of the
most important and well-attended temples in the city.
This is because worship of the whole
Skandik pantheon is allowed within the temple
with each god and goddess having their own dedicated High Priest. The temple therefore
covers a wide range of religious concerns and encourages whole families to attend services
unlike many other temples in the city. It has therefore captured the worship of by far the largest
portion of the good-aligned section of the city.
Although the Warlord does not share the values of Ralibarn the Wise the High Priest of Odin,
he recognises that the temple is a force for stability within Quitak and hence Ralibarn
has his ear. Indeed the Warlord has used him in the delicate negotiations that keep the
fragile peace between Quitak and
Ossary.
The temple has 60 - 70 priests but if attacked can call upon the temple guard of some
140 berserkers. Although they have not been called upon to defend the temple within living
memory the area around the Square of the Gods where the temple is situated is one of the
safest in the city.
