The Smithy is a small building in the centre of the village. The smith, Umluk handhammer
is a respected member of
the Damkina Craft Guild who prefers village life
to life in the city. His smithy is always busy except in the winter when the passing trade
thins out. He is a good source of news as many of his customers like a chat with him. He is
especially knowledgeable about local dwarven communities.
Umluk lives above his smithy. He is well off but lives simply and tends to spend his wealth
on improving his tools as well as ensuring his armour and weapons are of the finest quality.
Most evenings he can be found in the
Wayside Inn.
Umluk is a follower of the dwarven goddess
Rosmerta and a large metal plaque with the goddess's symbol
upon it adorns the smithy's wall.
