Henna

Henna is a statuesque woman of uncertain age (Thatis reckons from her stories she is at least ninety although she looks to be in her early forties) who is a scholar who has travelled much about the Wilderlands. She is something of a free-thinker who does not hold herself bound by several of the orthodoxies held by many more convential sages. Despite this she has taught at many of the leading acadamies in the lands including the School of Ancient Knowledge in Quitak, although she admits to being careful as to the contents of her lectures as her true views would probably get her burnt at the stake.

The subject she most loves is history and the lessons that can be drawn from it. She does, however, have a wide knowledge of many subjects including geography, medicine, biology, anthropology, and the history and philosophy of magic. Although she is very happy to converse about any of her academic subjects she is has great personal charm and will happily chat about the weather and the view if that is what her companions want. She deflects questions on her motives for her pilgrammage to the Holy Cities, however, by saying it is a 'personal matter'.

One of the interesting aspects of Henna's effect on people is that Hanna reverts to being a quiet well-behaved halfing child in her presence.
