Araphor

Araphor is the half-elven ruler of the Dominion of Miredor. Born in 1043, as the only child of the then Lord of Miredor, Elorion, she was given the best education money could buy. This not only included attending Carasalas University (where her room mate was Arsiriel Silvertongue) but also daily practice with martial weapons and tuition in statecraft. She also was taught infiltration techniques by her father's rangers becoming incredibly adept at skills which would have made her a formidable assassin.

At the age of 23 with her father's blessing she planned and executed a daring reprisal raid on Ulbar in which her small force set fire to many ships and she personally slew the harbourmaster. The Ulbarean response was to set a price on her head which many have tried to collect with out coming close to success.

Her base is a fortified manor house called Bar Araphor, a short journey upriver from Carasalas. There she trains an elite force of rangers which are not only her personal guards but act as a strike force if she deems it appropriate to remind any of her enemies not to disrespect either her or her country.

Araphor has a reputation for wise counsel amongst the other lords and she is seen as a unifying figure who will always seek a consensus opinion. At the back of the other Lords minds though is always the thought that if matters are not resolved she might take them into her own hands (even if no one can later prove she initiated what followed). She is also much admired by those other Lords who are still single and has in general many human and elven would be suitors to whom she give little thrift.

Dark haired and grey eyed her beauty is apparent even in her normal attire which includes a finely inlaid enchanted dragonscale breastplate on which the symbol of her house (a yellow chrysanthemum on a dark blue field) is displayed. She has an athletic build and a pale skin (for a southern half-elf) which she inherited from her northern mother and moves with an easy grace.
