Those With The Black Hand are a cult of Clerics/Arcane Magic Users who worship Malgoth. They are well known for recruiting members into a criminal gang known as the Black Dogs who serve as their soldiers and executioners. Before sending the Black Dogs out to do their will they enhance the physical powers of the gang members in dark rituals. Whether it is these rituals or other dark ceremonies that cause their trademark blackened hands is not known but their evil takes a toll on their own bodies which they have to disguise with illusionary magic when out in public. Their actual goals (beside creating mayhem) remain opaque and many think that they sponsor the Black Dogs to create a distraction from their real more insidious purposes. In any case they are very difficult to track down and only the most junior members of their ranks have ever been captured. |
