The Three are a powerful coven of three Witches whose hut is normally to be found near the village of Wishton
on the Lodalf Plain. According to The Three's own testimony
- They have always lived on the Lodalf Plain (and always will).
- They like the weather not too hot and not too cold.
- They say they can go wherever they want in this plane or others but Wishton is their home.
- The Peloreans once tried to drive The Three from the Plain. (This would have been in the summer of -3825)
- As a result they made allies with 'cold spirits fell'.
- It didn't end well for the Peloreans. (The Long Winter and invasion of the Giants).
- The Three returned to the Plain in -3824 and the Peloreans left them alone.
- They didn't appreciate the Great Darkness and (correctly)
blamed the Peloreans for that event.
- They warn that those wishing to share the Plain with them 'had better tread lightly' (meaning pandering to the
Witch's environmental conservatism).

- They don't really want a wall built round No Name and may well have been responsible for the collapse of Dwain's attempted construction.
The folk of Wishton are happy to provide The Three with whatever the Witches require as they believe that their
presence keeps other dangers at bay. They say that the Witch's hut is not always at Wishton. Some say the hut
can grow legs and move about, others that it just vanishes and reappears wherever the Witches want.
