Kod'l is tributary village of
Ferech Idu. It was sited here as from this point the river
becomes navigable
facilitating trade to the north and east. The population is mainly human although there
are significant dwarf, gnome and halfling minorities. Its main attractions are its market
and its inns and taverns many of which are owned by inhabitants of its parent town.
Going west the road becomes significantly more difficult and dangerous as it winds through
the mountains to Ferech Idu. Most travellers wait to join a trade caravan before journeying
west as they always
travel with armed guards provided by Ferech Idu since these caravans also carry the gold
collected from local
tolls, taxes and market fees.
