Karfas Key

  • The Toll Stop (1). The best of Karfas's many inns but also the most expensive.
  • Leather Shop (2). Sells +1 non-magic leather armour.
  • The Textile Shop (3). Benisa Gorlana is a talented seamstress who makes all kinds of clothing including warm winter outfits.
  • The Gored Ox (4). The inn favoured by the locals and the place to get the local gossip.
  • The Wine Shop (5). This shop holds a special license exempting it from certain duties and is therefore a favourite port of call for travellers.
  • Travel Goods Shop (6). This shop does a roaring trade supplying passing caravans. The owner, a Marwhini named Eoric, has a good eye for horses and will allow caravans to trade for fresh horses (or camels).
  • The Drinking Oliphaunt (7). Owned by a former caravan master this inn unashamedly is marketed at passing caravans crews. Occasionally a bit rough.
  • Toll Collection Point (8).
  • Toll Guards Barracks (9).
  • Records Hall (10). Also the home of the Trade-master responsible overall for the toll collection both here and in Far Bank.
  • The Croaking Frog (11). An inn with a reputation for excellent food but rather ordinary wines.
  • Weapons Shop (12). Sells weapons of all quailties, including superior non-magic (+1) and a small selection of magic weapons.
  • The Long Road (13). The seediest bar and inn in Karfas. Definitely the place to arrange illegal transactions. The owner, it is rumoured, will drug the food or drink of your guests for a price if you eat or drink here.
  • The Emporium (14). Sells herbs and ingredients for spells and rituals. The owner, Baradi, aims to dazzle his customers with his fast patter and entertaining minor effects and illusions.
  • Private Residences (15 - 20).
