Horaja once was an independent port populated by humans. In the war between
Zothay and the
Skandiks, however, it became the chief
target of the Redrock Orcs. These Orcs had a powerful cult of magic users and
the Horaja defenders were overwhelmed. The human population were enslaved although a minority
escaped to
Halkmenan.
Today the brutality of the Orcs has managed to further reduce the human population who
are now greatly outnumbered by the Orcs. There is also a sizeable half-orc population.
The harbour is shunned by most ships apart from the Skandiks who in addition to trading
essential goods allow the Orcs to top up on their human slave population from time to time.
