Halkmenan
Halkmenan was a small prosperous elvish village that was allied with
Zothay a hundred years ago. In the war with the
Skandiks, however, it was sacked with much loss
of property and life. The elves took in the those human refugees from
Horaja who managed to escape the Redrock Orcs and survive
the wilderness.
Today, in addition to the descendants of human refugees, Halkmenan has a large
half-elven population. Although Halkmenan acts as a market town for much of the hinterland
it has never recovered its prosperity due to the penal tribute that
Ossary has placed
upon it.
