Guilin, the 'capital' of Iredar, is a rapidly developing village on the
shores of Tuskwater. As the original community founded by Wren it embodies the idealism with which he started
his new kingdom. The village is currently run as a cooperative with decisions taken by a democratically elected
town council. Although Wren and his colleagues had a lot of input in the early days at the moment the council
very much runs itself.
The setting of the village has turned out to be ideal with fertile soil and much game in the surrounding countryside and the lake itself. The Stag Lord's Fort, now the base of Wren and his friends,
provides reassuring security for the village as does the newly built stockade wall surrounding it on the two sides that aren't protected by water.
The population of the village is mixed with a number of exotic races but is predominantly composed of human settlers from
Brevoy although there is also a contingent of refugees from the troubles in
Pitax. Although founding the village has been hard work the morale of the population is
exceptionally high with most villagers agreeing things have turned out wonderfully well for them.
The village has a proto-Magician's Guild which meets regularly in Harlann's library and possibly a proto-Thieves Guild which conregates around Sin in the tavern whenever she is around. It also boasts a state of the art magically
enhanced sewage system paid for by Wren.
