Natch Ur is the Chaotic Evil God of Deep Earth and the secrets it hides. It is said he arose
in the War of Magicks when those who opposed the Markrab magic sought ways of combatting its
power. His domains are Chaos, Earth, Evil, Blood, and Death and his clerics wear a symbol of a
black fist in an iron gauntlet. Even among those of evil disposition his cult is feared and
despised but it has proved attractive for those to whom power is everything and the
lives of others of no value.
The temples of the Natchai are centred around huge blood red stone obelisks but the
majority of the temple is always underground in caves and catacombs. Here those wishing
favour from the god bring blood sacrifices in exchange for forbidden knowledge. The sacrifice
of a loved one particularly a child is said to be the best way of getting the god's attention.
His clerics have to undergo a horrific ritual where they are buried alive. Only a small
proportion of those who attempt it survive but they are rewarded with strange powers. It is
said a high priest of Natch Ur can tear the heart from an animal of child with just a word.
The centre of the religion is Viridistan and many of the Green Emperors and their courts have
been followers of Natch Ur. The Amiondel Elves also infamously turned away from
Cilborith to worship Natch Ur and pursue the dark secrets
which would give them power.
