The Cleft Road is the longest intact man-made road currently existing in the world. Its
route takes it all the way from the
Holy Cities in the Oppressing Sands, through the Valley of
Repose, up the Haunting Mountains, east to
Wortess on the very coastline of the Desert Lands.
As well as parties of pilgrims all manner of merchant traffic occurs on the road, and
highwaymen and brigands are common in some areas.
