Penkmoose the Valiant, widely known as 'Penk', was a hero decorated for his service in
the City Watch. When asked to persecute Mycretians, however, he resigned his post and opened
this eatery in Pike Pass. He makes no secret of his admiration for the Mycretians and is widely believed
to have joined their religion. His service to the city, however, means that the authorities
would be very reluctant to make an issue of his beliefs.
Over the door he has written in large letters 'For those of good heart' and will refuse to
serve any of evil alignment. He considers it bad form, however, to use magical detection on
his customers so in practice any alignments can eat at Penk's Place provided they are on their
best behaviour. Penk's assistants tend to be reformed ruffians taking their first job before
moving elsewhere. Former colleagues from the City Watch also tend to drop by so the atmosphere
is remarkably peaceful even if Penk's own sword is fixed in place above the fireplace so that
it can't be easily removed. The standard of food tends to be variable and depends on how much
time Penk has had to instruct his newest apprentices: it is always tolerable, however.
