Hogg Bagadar has a reputation of being a master Alchemist. He has a well-stocked laboratory in the
basement of his shop and is always in the market for alchemical substances (particularly
body parts of magical creatures). He sells potions, elixirs, salves, powders, and gasses and
offers to make up any such products if they are not in stock providing he can obtain the
necessary ingredients. Business is brisk so he employs seven apprentices and two armed guards.
Even more discouraging than the guards are warnings from both the Thieves' Guild and the
Assassins' Guild on the door of the shop that Hogg is under their protection. Hogg is also
known have the gratitude of several of the city's nobles and to be favoured by high
ranking magic users. Hogg has testimonials from satisfied customers from the latter
group stating that 19 out of every 20 potions he has sold them have given the maximum
effects expected from the spell. As a result of his reputation Hogg is able to charge
double the normal prices for such goods.
