Nowhere is more representative of the old Rostlandic spirit than the most southerly city in Brevoy, the Free City of Restov. Although the Lord Mayor Ioseph Selleminus owes allegiance to the Brevic crown Restov is not a seat of power for any of the great noble houses making it a haven for those who look back to the lost glories of the Aldori
swordlords and the time before the Conqueror. Restov is both a city of refinement and rough-and-tumble manners. The
wealth generated by its hard working citizens has generated an upper class of rich nobles and merchants. The sons
and daughters of the elite frequent the city's famous dueling schools or plot rebellion against the crown in its
salons and taprooms.
The city has a population of nearly 20,000 souls of whom over 80% are human. The others are (in descending order
of numbers) dwarves, gnomes, halflings, half-elves and elves with a smattering of more exotic races. The most well
known citizens besides the Mayor are Lady Jamandi Aldori, a fearsomely ambitious noblewoman who is also an
expert dueller, and Ezvanki Keegh, the High Priest of Erastil and leader of the city's most popular religion.
