Although there are very many unihabited islands in The Shackles, Raptor Island, situated to the west of Shark
Island is probably the largest. As it name suggests the reason for lack of human settlements is obvious for it is inhabited by packs of
deinonychus, small for a dinosaur but still larger than a man. Without competition from larger dinosaurs
this raptor is easily the top of the food chain on this island.
Sadistic pirate captains are fond of marooning members of their crews on this island as the ultimate deterrent
to others. The interior of the island is dense jungle which makes it easy for the raptors to ambush their prey.
