Mae is from a people who inhabit the jungles far to the south. She describes herself
as an 'apprentice-shaman' and appears to have druid-like spells. When asked why she was
travelling north she says she was 'gathering herbs' and appears to think nothing of
the distances she has covered doing so. She may, like
Garwen, consider her journey to be a 'rite of passage'.
Certainly she gets on very well with him and they appear to have a mutual understanding
of each other.
Unlike Garwen who is large and imposing, however, she is small and plain with curly hair.
She is also generally quiet and unassuming although she is not afraid to speak her mind when
she has to and generally backs up Garwen when there is need for some common sense to be
spelt out.
Although most would disregard her in a fight she is actually fearsomely strong for her size
and wields a heavily enruned club in battle. She was certainly holding her own with the gnolls
when the party first encountered her.
She was travelling north with a caravan when she first encountered the fugitive
party who were badly wounded after an incident with the Warlord's trackers. She stayed on to
heal them and has been with them ever since.
