The Old Religion in Reetland is mostly confined to the less populated northern half of the country. Even there
although the Pelorean Church has not proscribed it as an
organisation (it has been smart enough to see that would be counterproductive) it actively campaigns against it as a primitive and wrong headed view of religion.
The second point of tension for the Old Religion in the north is the logging industry who again are engaged
in a propaganda war against both the Religion and its view of the balance of nature. Although Reetland's
northern forests are vast they are gradually being eaten away century by century. The situation is not helped
by the absence of Elven communities in the forests who would undoubtedly echo the concerns of the Druids who
sometimes resort to direct action to make their point. Although many country folk are tolerant of the Druids
the logging industry provides much needed employment opportunities in the north and the majority of folk
would rather see a peaceful resolution between the two parties.
