Kalastar is a small trading port in the north wilderlands which acts as an interchange
between ocean going vessels which navigate the Uther Pentwergen Sea and more shallow-draughted
vessels that sail up the Greatflood River. The town has a population of
about one thousand (70% of which are human)
but not many travellers stay too long. Not only is the town seedy, damp and run down it also
trades in locally-mined sulphour which tends to leave an unpleasant lingering smell in the air. The
town's boss is Zorfear an imposing looking ogre who does not tolerate any threats to trade
or the mines.
