Iron-shod was established twenty years ago when refugees from
Cheapside fled the Amiondel Elves after an unsuccessful
revolt. The leaders of the revolt the half-elves Dhiiwrath and his wife Cersi are now Lord and
Lady of the village and are keen to nurse their resources and find allies before any
further strike against the Elves. Many in the village, however, are for more immediate
action and chafe at the delay in re-taking their village. Cersi in particular, however,
remembers the overpowering magic which caused many casualties in the rebellion against the
Elves and constantly urges caution.
In the meantime the village has prospered as many of Cheapside's craftsmen joined the
revolt and fled north and the area seems blest with natural resources. Not all Iron-shod's residents
wish to return to Cheapside unless the Ludgate Elves are first thoroughly defeated.
