Every Mycretian is expected to make a pilgrimage to the
Holy Cities at least once in their lifetimes. The main rules
for pilgrims are as follows
- All pilgrims must wear a simple white tunic
- Pilgrims must carry only one item for defence
- Pilgrims must not kill any animals on their journey
- Pilgrims must not drink alcohol on their journey
- All pilgrims must walk on foot (except for unavoidable sea crossings)
- Pilgrims must only carry enough provisions to get them to the next settlement
- A good deed must be performed at every settlement visited.
- All food and drink must be shared in a communal meal with all other pilgrims who you journey with
- Pilgrims are obliged to defend other pilgrims from attack
There are many other minor rules in the 'The White Book of Mazzaroth' but most of these are
about applying the major ones with a degree of common sense. Once at the Holy Cities pilgrims
are expected to stay for about a week, visiting the holy sites and listening to the teaching of
the prophets.
