'The Maid', as the Halflings call her, is a nature and fertility goddess who is also
patron goddess of Halflings. She is Chaotic Good in alignment. Her worship is mainly concerned
with encouraging the fruitfulness of the earth and the fertilty of the Halfling race. In
the wilder parts of Oerth her 'clerics' may actually be of druidical nature. She will
occasionally manifest herself as a wise old halfling woman and in addition to giving sound
advice bestow blessings of luck on her followers.
There is, however, another side to The Maid as protector of the Halfling race. She has
been known to manifest herself with a fierce amazonion countenance and ogre-like size in
defence of her people. In battle she wields a magic club (as do her clerics).
