Gannet Island

The majority of Gannet Island is dense jungle surrounded by 30' cliffs. The jungle is home to many isects while the cliffs provide safe nesting space for sea birds. A small beach lies on the northern part of the island's natural harbour but no pier exists and anyone wanting to reach the beach from a galleon must use a longboat. Steps have been cut into the cliff above the beach which wind up to the only building on the island, Harrigan's Fortress.

An alternative route exists into the fortress via a sea cave (C on the map) which is entirely submerged at high tide. Apparently Harrigan never puts any guards to watch that route because of its monstrous guardians. The island has a reputation for not welcoming unannounced visitors most notably by means of a charmed sea serpent.
