This inn, run by the human Garbot the Old, has been in his family for several generations
and is solid and comfortable with a good reputation.
The food is good value and the menu is varied. It is a favoured destination for those
who want to eat out but are comfortably off. Besides the excellent wine and beer Garbot
also serves non-alcoholic beverages including chilled milk for those who want them.
In the evening the tables are reserved for those wishing to eat and you are advised to
book or come early to be sure of obtaining one. The Beafsteak Pie is to be particularly
recommended.
The rooms are clean and spacious and guests can order a tin bath of hot water if they
really want to spruce up. Meals may also be served in one's room if privacy is desired.
