One of the inns in Damkina owned by an ex-adventurer with an unlikely tale to explain his
wealth. In this case the owner is the enigmatic human just known as Greycloak. His story
is that on killing a griffon its hindquarters turned to gold; a story so ridiculous it might
just be true.
The inn is a lively place that always has a welcome for visiting bards. The food is good
but there is a single dish served each evening so patrons just have to take pot luck. The
Golden Griffon is a stone's throw from the market and tends to be packed in the summer
as it welcomes allcomers and is popular with visitors.
