Situated at the extreme western end of The Shackles, the Cannibal Isles are avoided by all who know of their
reputation. They have probably the densest population of the kuru people (native to the islands) but also
the highest density of
Ghol-gan ruins.
Many speculate that the kuru people fled westward to escape being traded as slaves by the pirates and fell under
the evil influence of still potent Ghol-gan holy sites.
The fate of the crews who are unlucky enough to have sought shelter in the many inviting bays of these islands
is uncertain but one lone survivor whose ship was swarmed by kuru canoes tells of being dragged before a bloated
and hideous living Ghol-gan god and having to watch his crewmates being sacrificed. Terror gave him to strength to
free himself from his bonds and run while his captors watched this grisly spectacle.
